Lindsey Markelz, Director of UrbanPromise International
Lindsey Markelz, director of UrbanPromise International (UPI), has years of experience working among underserved youth nationally and internationally. With a Masters in Social Work, former director of various children and youth programs, and two years with the Peace Corps, Lindsey is uniquely equipped for UPI leadership. During her Peace Corps service in the Republic of Kiribati, she worked with leaders in the non-governmental organizational (NGO) unit of the government, building its capacity to strengthen the work of NGO's in the country. Lindsey oversees UPI programs within the United States (those outside of Camden) and in Honduras and Canada.
