Bernetta McCall-Millonde, Executive Director
Bernetta McCall-Millonde is Executive Director of UrbanPromise Ministries. She came to UrbanPromise ministries in February of 2008 from Fairleigh Dickinson University where she served as Vice President for Enrollment Management.
Bernetta has a reputation in higher education for implementing successful marketing and recruitment strategies, developing effective prospect management programs, and enhancing division effectiveness while delivering quality programming. She attributes her success is higher education to developing teams of professional who are empowered, not controlled, and the establishment of strong cross-campus relationships.
Bernetta’s diverse leadership experiences in higher education make her an ideal speaker on topics related to college access, leadership and team building. A few of the titles of her workshops include:

Bernetta has 19 years in higher education working at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, Drexel University in Philadelphia, Long Island University – Southampton College in New York and Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications. Bernetta is married and lives in Clayton, New Jersey with her husband and their daughter. She began her faith walk in her early teens and is passionate about people developing a relationship with God.

Andy Joshua, StreetLeader & Children Ministries Program Director
Andy Joshua is currently the director of the StreetLeader program
at UrbanPromise Ministries in Camden, NJ. The StreetLeader program is a dynamic outreach to Camden teenagers, focusing on job training, college readiness, leadership development, and Christian formation. The StreetLeader program employs approximately 100 teenagers each year and provides multiple programming opportunities for these young people. This program has seen numerous graduates go onto to four-year universities and become leaders on their college campus’ and in their neighborhoods. Andy has been instrumental in creating a vibrant Christian Development Program and an Educational Tutoring Program as part of this multi-faceted youth ministry.
Andy’s experience with urban teens make him an excellent communicator for youth events and staff training sessions. Andy enjoys speaking on Social Justice Issues, Youth Development, and Effective Methods for Working with Teens. Andy’s involvement with InterVarsity as student leader during his college years, provide invaluable insight for communicating with university age young adults.
Andy is a graduate of William and Mary University (B.S. Physics) and the University of Maryland College Park, School of Public Affairs (M.A. International Security Policy). Joshua Brady, Intern Recruiter
Joshua Brady has been working with UrbanPromise, an inner city ministry in Camden, for the past 7 years. Currently he serves as the Co Director of the Children’s Ministry Department which has five after-school programs and summer camps located throughout the city. These programs provide a safe and exciting place where kids can grow educationally and spiritually.
For many years, he was an after-school program and summer camp director. Joshua’s innovative ideas
in loving discipline and classroom management have become part of the model used in programs today. Joshua is actively involved in many kid’s lives, and has supported them and their families through troubling and triumphant times.
Joshua studied at Shippensburg University and graduated with a degree in Biology. While at school, he led the main Christian Fellowship Organization, which included bible studies, mission outreach programs, and a large group focused on discipleship and evangelism to college students. After graduation, he felt God leading him towards mission work and came to UrbanPromise Ministries.
Joshua is actively involved in recruiting college students to intern at UrbanPromise. He frequently travels to Universities and Youth events, speaking passionately about Social Justice Issues, Christian Service, Youth Discipleship, and Christian Unity. Through compelling stories and a fervent presentation of the Gospel, he challenges and inspires us to a deeper walk with God.

The UrbanPromise Step-Team
The UrbanPromise Step Team is comprised of Camden teens who create beats, rhythms, and dance steps to communicate their life stories and faith. The group has performed on university campus', churches, and for civic groups. Their witness is energizing and their testimonies inspiring for all who experience this creative form of communication.

The UrbanPromise Choir
The CamdenForward School Choir is comprised of children from UrbanPromise's private, Christian elementary school. These children love to share their talents through Gospel and other contemporary music.
The International Gospel Choir. Every summer volunteer director Cleve Johnson trains 10-15 college-age students in traditional Gospel music. This eclectic, international group of university-age students serve as missionaries in UrbanPromise's summer camp programs, but also expand their ministry experience by learning a new genre of music. This choir is available to sing in churches during July and August of each year. Their poignant testimonies and energetic singing create a meaningful and uplifting worship experience.
