1988 UrbanPromise opens the doors of Rosedale Baptist Church beginning with one AfterSchool Program (40 children) & 2 Summer Camps (150 children) with an annual budget of $12,000

1990

10 teens are hired to help volunteers with the children in the AfterSchool Program, in effect establishing the StreetLeader Program, assisting teens in job training & leadership development.
1993 Because of unprecedented expansion and need for more local involvement, UrbanPromise incorporates, becoming a 501(c)3 and creates its first board of directors.
1995 UrbanPromise purchases a new facility, while also developing ministry sites with Episcopalian, Baptist, Presbyterian and Methodist congregations throughout Camden.
1996 The Intern Program formalized. Close to 100 college-aged interns recruited from all over the world to staff summer and fall programs.
1997 The CamdenForward School & UrbanPromise Academy open!
1998 UrbanPromise expands its mission by opening new ministry sites in Wilmington, DE, Toronto & Vancouver, Canada.
2005 The CamdenForward School adds eighth grade to the school.
Spring 2006 UrbanPromise opens the doors to the new Samuel J. Paparone Student Center which houses the UrbanPromise Academy and the StreetLeader Program.
